Concerts Sweden will support the next GAS festival  

Concerts Sweden will support the next GAS festival that will be organised in Gothenburg in 2010. Concerts Sweden’s director Björn W Stålne says that 1.5 million SEK will be given to the festival and adds:

– It is important to make sure that there is an international festival for new music in Sweden in future as well.

Staffan Mossenmark, chairman of the GAS festivalen says: – The latest GAS festivals have been artistically of high quality but in dire straits financially. With the help of Concerts Sweden, we will now be able to achieve the long term planning that we have been waiting for so long.

– Thanks to the support and cooperation that the GAS festival also expects from the regional authorities and institutions, planning for 2010 can really start.

Björn W Stålne, Concerts Sweden says:

– What makes the GAS festival special is that besides contemporary art music it also includes other art forms.

– The next GAS festival will take place in October 2010. The GAS festival – Göteborg Art Sounds – started in 1999 and thus, the next festival will be the sixth edition.
